Hawaiian Sunrise Shells

Did you know that sunrise shells are ONLY found in Hawai’i? Making them even more rare and unique to shell collectors and ocean lovers! They are typically found in 80+ feet deep water or if you’re super lucky, you can spot one on the beach during sunrise! Sunrise shells are very special in Hawaiian culture and are a symbol of strength, protection, and hope. They hold a special meaning to us and Hawai’i and deserve to be cherished!

Note: Here at Salt & Water Co., we NEVER keep shells with live creatures inhibiting inside the shell. If we pick up a shell and notice it is full, we gently place it back into its original habitat. We strongly believe in giving back to the beautiful place we call home while upholding ethical practices, which means that whichever shells and beach treasure that we do not end up using in our designs, are later returned to the place they were originally found.
